Job summary

PowerX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to oversee testing, commissioning, validation, and integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will mentor field engineers and drive safety, reliability, and adherence to utility standards and commissioning philosophy.

Role requires deep knowledge of relay protection, AC/DC fundamentals, and system topology.

Qualifications

• Experience testing protection and control systems in substations.
• Ability to lead commissioning projects under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850, RTUs, SCADA interfaces, and relay coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced testing, commissioning, and validation across substations.
• Perform relay protection testing using major platforms.
• Validate protection and control systems including line, transformer, bus, and relays.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing of SCADA, IEC 61850, and telecom systems.
• Develop test, isolation, and energization plans for energized substations.
