Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Lead Test Engineer to oversee testing, commissioning, validation, and integration of protection and control systems across transmission, distribution, and generation substations. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and operations, and ensure adherence to utility standards and POWERX philosophy.

You will lead in energized substations up to 500 kV, manage test plans, and drive safe, on-time project turnovers while advancing protection and control

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in high-voltage protection and control testing/commissioning.
• Experience with relay platforms (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens, Westinghouse).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, and validation of protection and control systems in substations.
• Develop test plans, energization procedures, and JHAs.
• Interface with clients, operations teams, and project management to ensure safe, compliant turnover.
