Electric Power Engineers is seeking a Senior Protection & Controls Engineer to lead design across EPC and private-client projects, including substations, data centers, BESS and large facilities. You will develop and review P&C designs from concept to commissioning, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, vendors and utilities.

The ideal candidate has 8-10+ years in protection and control, strong substation experience, and familiarity with ASPEN, CAPE, SKM, ETAP, and Powerbase.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• 8-10+ years of protection and control experience, preferably in consulting/EPC/detailed design.

Mansioni

• Develop/review P&C engineering packages for EPC/private-client projects (one-lines, three-lines, schematics, relay logic, wiring diagrams).
• Develop and review protection philosophies and schemes for transformers, buses, feeders, lines, capacitors/reactors, generators.
• Review protective relay settings and coordination (overcurrent, differential, distance, breaker-failure, communications assisted protection).
• Perform short-circuit, equipment-duty and protection coordination studies.
• Coordinate P&C design with other engineering disciplines and SCADA/ metering teams.
• Review vendor drawings for relay panels, switchgear, transformers, and related equipment.
• Support construction, testing, commissioning and energization; resolve field issues.
