Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Construction Manager in GES NA Design & Construction to lead autonomous end-to-end delivery of complex construction projects, including large-scale new builds, retrofits, and expansions for logistics facilities.

You will own design oversight, external partner selection, contract negotiations, and project procurement, with responsibility for performance of partners and contractors. Travel and relocation support may be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience spanning design through construction completion and handover.
• 7+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• 7+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• Position includes travel up to 60% (Nationwide). Travel involves air travel to regional airports and driving to site locations.

Responsibilities

• Own and enforce safety programs and standards across all project teams; set safety culture.
• Oversee end-to-end project management services and external partner performance for complex projects.
• Serve as Amazons senior owners representative and primary integrator between construction, design, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop project strategies and allocate resources to execute them.
• Oversee design and engineering with evaluations, conformance reviews, and VE assessments.
