Job summary

Amazon, a global leader in e-commerce and cloud, seeks a Sr. Construction Manager in GES NA D&C to own end-to-end delivery of complex construction projects such as sortation centers and delivery stations.

You will supervise design, procurement, and external partners while mentoring other construction managers across North America. You will travel ~60% regionally, lead strategy and performance metrics, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across projects in a fast-paced logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of project management spanning design to handover.
• 7+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM, and scheduling software like Primavera or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project management services for complex projects; contribute to large initiatives.
• Serve as Amazon's senior owner's representative, aligning construction, design, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop project strategies and allocate resources to execute them effectively.
• Oversee design and engineering of complex projects, including conformance reviews and value engineering.
• Monitor project performance metrics, identify risks, and drive corrective actions.
• Resolve complex issues, make trade-offs, and defend decisions to Directors and VPs.
