Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Transmission Engineer to lead complex transmission line projects from concept through design completion, providing technical oversight and mentoring staff.

This role requires strong knowledge of transmission design codes, experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, and related tools, plus willingness to travel up to 15%. PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Eng. degree with 7+ years in transmission engineering.
• Alternative: FE with 7+ years in transmission engineering (EPC experience preferred).
• Alternative: Master's degree in Engineering with 6+ years experience (EPC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission design from concept to design completion.
• Provide technical oversight and mentor design staff.
• Review vendor drawings and coordinate with suppliers.
• Develop project budgets, schedules and staffing plans.
• Ensure QA/QC and compliance with safety policies.
