Qualifications

• Knowledge of Official Guidelines for coding and reporting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology.
• Knowledge of disease pathology
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS
• Ability to code surgical and observation encounters.
• Familiarity with office and coding software tools and resources.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues in remote/office environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality review of outpatient coding and ensure coding compliance with regulations.
• Review, interpret, and assign diagnostic and procedural codes from medical records.
• Mentor and train new coders on workflows and applications.
• Support and maintain coding policies and organizational guidelines.
