Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks a Lead OT Security Engineer to secure manufacturing systems and plant operations. You will work with cybersecurity, engineering, maintenance and operations to implement practical security controls that do not disrupt production.

The role requires deep OT cybersecurity expertise, strong networking knowledge, and experience with vendor remote access. Travel is anticipated to support multiple sites globally.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of cybersecurity experience in manufacturing, OT, or critical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of industrial control environments and manufacturing operations.
• Networking fundamentals including routing, switching, firewalls, and segmentation.
• Experience with security monitoring, log management, and endpoint protection in OT.
• Ability to design controls with safety, uptime, and reliability in mind.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity architectures for manufacturing systems and plant operations.
• Develop secure network segmentation and vendor remote access strategies.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, firewall rules, and security controls in production environments.
• Support engineering, maintenance, operations, and site tech teams during implementations and remediations.
• Lead OT cybersecurity improvement initiatives across sites and regions.
