Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an OT Architect to shape secure, resilient, and scalable technology solutions for manufacturing environments. This role unites process control, engineering, cybersecurity, and IT teams to define architecture direction, guide solution decisions, and improve OT reliability and security across the enterprise.

You will lead cross-functional architecture initiatives, design current and future OT solutions, and translate manufacturing requirements into actionable standards

Qualifications

• Experience deploying or administering industrial control systems in manufacturing environments (PLC/HMI/DCS).
• Experience designing or supporting industrial networks and firewalls using Purdue segmentation or equivalent.
• Led cross-organizational architecture initiatives from problem definition to implementation guidance.
• Applied architecture concepts like high availability, recovery, and data replication to designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IT/OT architecture standards and reference designs.
• Lead cross-organizational architecture efforts across manufacturing, engineering, cybersecurity, and IT.
• Guide design and implementation of current and future OT solutions (DCS, PLC, HMI, industrial networking).
• Assess emerging technologies to identify gaps and opportunities for value.
• Translate regulatory and industry security requirements into actionable architecture decisions.
• Advise on reliability, segmentation, availability, recovery, replication, and secure configuration for manufacturing environments.
• Promote adoption of approved patterns and share knowledge across teams.
• Apply automation and infrastructure-as-code to improve repeatability and governance.
