Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an OT Architect to define secure, scalable technology solutions across manufacturing environments. This role bridges process control, engineering, cybersecurity, and IT teams, shaping architecture direction and improving reliability and security enterprise‑wide.

The Infrastructure Architecture team collaborates with manufacturing, cybersecurity, and site technology groups to align OT with business outcomes and enterprise strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying or administering industrial control technologies in manufacturing environments (PLC, HMI, DCS).
• Ability to translate regulatory, security, and manufacturing requirements into technical standards and architecture patterns.
• Experience designing/leading cross‑organizational architecture initiatives from problem definition to implementation guidance.
• Familiarity with Purdue or equivalent industrial segmentation models for networks.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work at manufacturing sites.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IT/OT architecture standards, reference designs, and reusable patterns.
• Lead cross‑organizational architecture efforts across multiple stakeholders.
• Guide design/implementation of OT solutions (DCS, PLC, HMI, industrial networking, edge, IoT).
• Assess emerging technologies for gaps, risks, and value creation.
• Translate manufacturing/regulatory security requirements into actionable decisions and standards.
• Advise on reliability, segmentation, availability, recovery, replication, and secure config choices.
• Promote adoption of approved patterns across teams and sites.
• Apply automation/Infrastructure‑as‑Code approaches to improve repeatability and cost of ownership.
