Job summary

Brentwood-Nursing-Home-and-Rehabilitation-Facility seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the rehabilitation team. You will deliver OT treatments under the OT, help manage caseloads, ensure documentation compliance, and educate residents and families for successful discharge.

Candidates must graduate from an AOTA-accredited OTA program and be licensed or eligible in RI; LTC experience is preferred. This is a full-time role requiring availability every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OTA program.
• Current or eligible for licensure as an OTA in the state of practice (RI).
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy treatments under the OT according to Plans of Care.
• Collaborate with supervisors to manage individual and group treatment schedules.
• Maintain adherence to PPS guidelines, licensure regulations, and billing/documentation accuracy.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on home-exercise programs and safety procedures.
• Assist the OT in providing treatments as directed by the Plan of Care.
• Keep therapy areas sanitary, orderly, and hazard-free.
