Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join a permanent, full-time team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The role offers a 40-hour week, weekend rotation, and the opportunity to work in a large skilled nursing facility with 252 beds.

The ideal candidate will have a current MA OTA license or eligibility, graduate from an accredited OTA program, and prior OTA experience. The role may require floating to neighboring locations to support other sites.

Qualifications

• Current OTA license or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Previous OTA experience required; new graduates will not be considered.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to participate in a weekend rotation.
• Flexibility to float to neighboring locations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Assist patients with improving ADLs and functional independence.
• Deliver therapeutic activities focusing on strength, balance, mobility and function.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the supervising OT and care team.
• Document treatments, responses and progress accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques, strategies and safety.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehab staff within the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful treatment environment.
• Provide coverage or float to neighboring sites as needed.
