Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement individualized OT programs for participants, focusing on independence and functional skills. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver therapy, follow a plan of care, and educate participants and caregivers.

The position is full-time, temporary, with a 6-month horizon. Responsibilities include documentation, safety, and collaboration with colleagues to promote high-quality care for seniors

Qualifications

• Graduated from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program is required.
• Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant License required.
• One year experience coordinating/providing OT services to frail elderly is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized OT interventions and plan-of-care implementation.
• Deliver efficient rehabilitation services following treatment plans and schedules.
• Collaborate with rehab team to tailor activities to participant needs.
• Instruct participants, families, and caregivers under OT supervision.
• Execute the participant's treatment plan and ensure high-quality services.
• Maintain safety in emergencies and promote proper body mechanics.
• Document medical records accurately and timely.
• Adhere to safety policies and HIPAA compliance.
