Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Senior Loss Prevention Coordinator to safeguard assets by managing OS&D incidents and vendor claims. You will analyze data, compile reports, and coordinate across Business Management, Sales, Vendors and Customers to reduce losses and improve service levels.

Travel for training may be required. A four-year degree and strong Excel/SAP experience are preferred, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Food industry or retail experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and SAP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operational efficiency: monitor OS&D incidents and ensure timely resolution.
• Claims reporting: compile and distribute daily claims reports.
• Inventory & account adjustments to maintain data integrity.
• Vendor & carrier MSAs: review for performance alignment and improvement.
• Policy compliance: adhere to policies and communicate expectations clearly.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action to reduce repeat issues.
• Continuous improvement: optimize workflows to reduce turnaround times.
• Data analysis: track OS&D trends to strategize prevention.
• Stakeholder engagement: maintain relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
