Job summary

Scale Microgrids seeks an experienced deal originator to lead customer acquisition and commercial structuring for hyperscale and large enterprise data center customers. Hybrid role based in West Palm Beach, FL, with options in Chicago, NYC, or Ridgewood, NJ.

You will report to the Chief Business Officer, Data Centers, and manage regulatory, legal, and engineering components while originating and advancing multi-hundred-megawatt transactions across powered land and co-located generation solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in energy origination, infra development, IPP, or hyperscale commercial roles.
• Experience negotiating PPAs, energy services agreements, or large load service contracts.
• Has closed >100 MW infrastructure transactions.
• Deep understanding of generation economics and grid interconnection.
• Entrepreneurial drive with institutional discipline.
• Willingness to travel nationally up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Originate and cultivate a pipeline, advancing onsite energy solutions to close.
• Lead direct engagement with hyperscalers and large colocation providers.
• Develop and manage strategic account plans.
• Advance early-stage discussions through executed term sheets.
• Structure integrated energy + land + development frameworks.
• Negotiate pricing structures (capacity charges, standby constructs, hybrid supply).
• Align commercial constructs with regulatory pathways.
• Coordinate with Regulatory, Engineering, M&A, and Finance.
• Drive internal investment committee approvals.
• Maintain disciplined milestone tracking.
