Job summary

Scale is seeking a senior development leader to own end-to-end development of on-site energy infrastructure for hyperscale data centers. You will originate opportunities, manage interconnection, permitting, and land control, and drive projects to financial close and construction readiness.

The role requires 8+ years in power project development, strong commercial negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects across regulatory and market environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Energy Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years in power project development within organized wholesale markets.
• Experience developing natural gas generation or utility-scale energy assets.
• Proven ability to independently drive projects from early-stage to advanced development.

Responsibilities

• Originate development opportunities for on-site energy infrastructure to support hyperscale data centers.
• Oversee interconnection strategy and permitting in coordination with stakeholders.
• Lead land control, site selection, and market-entry strategies.
• Drive projects toward financial close and construction readiness.
• Provide executive-level reporting on pipeline status and risk.
