Job summary

Scale is seeking a senior development leader to originate and execute on-site energy infrastructureprojects for hyperscale data centers. The role requires coordinating across ISOs, utilities, and stakeholders to secure land, interconnections, and permits while driving projects to financial close.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in power project development, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives with limited direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in power project development within organized wholesale markets.
• Experience developing natural gas generation or utility-scale energy assets.
• Proven ability to independently drive projects from early-stage to advanced development.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Identify and originate development opportunities to own and operate on-site energy infrastructure for hyperscale data centers.
• Lead interconnection strategy and coordinate with ISOs, utilities, and transmission owners.
• Oversee environmental and permitting strategy with environmental leadership.
• Develop integrated development schedules and budgets; manage consultants.
• Drive projects toward financial close and construction readiness.
• Provide executive-level reporting on development portfolio status.
