Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a Senior Orientation Assistant to lead and mentor the Orientation Assistant team, plan and execute OA training, and support incoming students' transition to campus life at KU. Position requires prior OA experience, summer availability in 2027, and enrollment in at least 6 credit hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Orientation Assistant in Summer 2026.
• Available Summer 2027.
• Must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours during the semester term.
• Must attend OA training and OA sessions including Hawk Week.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning for OA Training with the Student Staff Coordinator.
• Execute assigned pre-Summer OA Training tasks.
• Participate in OA Recruitment and interviews.
• Contribute to the hiring process of new Orientation Assistants.
• Lead senior OA team meetings and coordinate activities.
• During Summer, manage groups and facilitate information sharing with incoming students.
