Job summary

SEIU in Washington, DC invites applications for a Senior Program Manager, Organizing. This role drives campaign operations, supports the Organizing Hub, and helps implement department goals and meeting logistics.

The ideal candidate has five+ years in political or labor organizing, strong writing and communication skills, staff supervision experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced union environment.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in political and/or labor organizing work.
• Past experience supervising and developing staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, develop and execute plans with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to manage and distribute high-priority action items.
• Establish systems to support campaigns and hub initiatives.
• Supervise staff to ensure proper execution of campaigns and logistics.
• Coordinate internal communications, reports, contracts, and budgets.
• Exercise judgment while interfacing with hubs and executive office.
• Assist with meeting logistics and special campaigns.
• Ensure staff complete internal administrative reports.
