Job summary

SEIU International in Washington, DC HQ is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Organizing to support the Organizing Hub and drive campaign execution. The role will help implement department goals, develop and maintain systems, and monitor progress for leadership across the Organizing Hub.

The role requires strong writing and communication skills, experience in political/labor organizing, and the ability to supervise staff in a fast-paced union environment. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in political and/or labor organizing.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.
• Ability to manage time and develop plans with minimal supervision.
• Proven strategic thinking, analysis, and proactive decision-making.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in G Suite; Familiarity with Quickbase is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Organizing Governance and Hub Management to manage high-priority action items across the Organizing Hub.
• Establish systems and tools to support campaigns and department-wide initiatives.
• Supervise staff to ensure proper execution of campaign operations and logistics.
• Coordinate with Directors and Deputy Directors to facilitate internal communications, compile reports, and track budgets.
• Interface with other Hubs, program departments, and the Executive office.
