Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Engineer to lead Oracle HCM integrations on a contract-to-hire basis.

The role is remote to start and will move to a hybrid arrangement after conversion, with onsite expectations in Bellevue, WA; Madison, NJ; New York City; or Boston for eventual 3 days onsite weekly. The role requires hands-on expertise with Oracle HCM Cloud, OIC, HCM APIs, and related technologies, providing architecture leadership, production support, and operational continuity across HR,

Qualifications

10+ years of enterprise application engineering, HCM technology, or integrations.
Strong experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), HCM APIs, HDL/HSDL, and related tools.
Proficiency with REST APIs, SOAP web services, middleware and iPaaS platforms, SFTP and file transfers, event-driven integrations, and batch processing.
Lead, Principal, or Staff-level engineering background with enterprise architecture and solution design experience.
Production support, incident management, and root cause analysis expertise.
SDLC proficiency including architecture, development, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, deployments, monitoring and observability, release management, Agile methodologies, and Jira backlog and sprint management.
Preferred: large-scale Oracle HCM implementations or migrations, support for global teams, SOX-controlled or highly regulated environments, on-call rotations, SLAs/SLOs, monitoring frameworks, escalation procedures, and production support models.
Preferred: leadership of large portfolios of HCM integrations across multiple vendors and business functions.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, support, and optimization of Oracle HCM integrations.
Serve as technical lead and escalation point for HCM-related integration issues.
Architect and support integrations with payroll, benefits, retirement providers, equity systems, IAM platforms, and enterprise systems.
Provide architecture reviews, code reviews, testing oversight, deployment support, and production troubleshooting.
Establish best practices for CI/CD, source control, monitoring, documentation, automated testing, and release management.
Develop runbooks, cross-training plans, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Security, IT, and vendors.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering standards and operational excellence.
Support roadmap planning, vendor management, and delivery execution.
Participate in Agile processes, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Jira reporting.
