Job summary

Stony Brook University seeks a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and maintain Oracle Fusion/HCM integrations, APIs, and related reports. You will collaborate across IT teams on upgrades, testing, and security, while mentoring junior staff and delivering robust solutions.

The role requires strong experience with OIC, HCM Cloud, BI Publisher, and Visual Builder, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with opportunities to work remotely up to five days per pay period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 9 years of total experience may substitute.
• Five years of full-time software development experience with Oracle Fusion and OIC.
• Experience with OO languages and SQL.
• Experience with HCM Modules and configuring/integrating with OIC/HCM Data Loader.
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Experience with configuring, updating and troubleshooting integrations and Fast Formulas.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Oracle HCM features and integrations using provided tools and platforms.
• Collaborate with DoIT staff on projects, upgrades, releases, and testing, ensuring data security.
• Troubleshoot and revise Fast Formulas; support Visual Builder Cloud Service apps.
• Create and maintain documentation for reports and interfaces detailing objectives and logic.
• Provide mentoring, supervision, and technical leadership; act as Supervising Programmer Analyst as needed.
• Handle additional duties aligned to rank and department mission.
