Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Coordinator to lead the coordination between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments. You will oversee case cart assembly, decontamination, sterilization, and provisioning of reprocessed surgical inventory across the Enterprise.

Responsibilities include organizing instrument trays, supporting process improvement projects, and maintaining strong communication with OR operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or possess the G.E.D.
• At least two years of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire (or within 6 months).
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Tecsys, Censitrac tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments to improve case flow.
• Coordinate instrument trays and reprocessed inventory to support multiple sites.
• Serve as clinical liaison between OR and CSS offsite location and standardize instrument trays Enterprise-wide.
