Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA, onsite, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead opto-mechanical assemblies from concept to detailed design using 3D CAD (CREO) and Windchill PDM release. You will work within an IPT to optimize cost, schedule, and performance in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD, GD&T, and PDM release processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop initial concepts of opto-mechanical assemblies to final part design using 3D CAD.
• Perform DFM trade studies to optimize fabrication and integration costs.
• Iterate designs with structural/thermal analysts to meet reliability requirements.
• Create and revise Technical Data Packages (TDP) in PDM/Windchill.
• Participate as an IPT member to achieve program goals under cost/schedule constraints.
• Support manufacturing in sustaining/liaison roles when needed.
• Track progress and ensure on-time drawing releases.
