Job summary

Meta seeks an Optical Network Deployment & Support Engineer to plan and execute large-scale deployments for Meta's global AI network infrastructure. You will own deployment planning, implementation, and scaling across edge, backbone, and data center environments.

Responsibilities include hands-on design and migration work, leading projects, mentoring teammates, and collaborating with cross-functional groups to ensure reliable, scalable network delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Network Engineering, including deployment, planning, or migration of production networks.
• 3+ years in Optical Network Engineering.
• Experience with enterprise and carrier routing, switching, and optical transport platforms.
• Experience interacting with vendors to drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical deployment, architecture, and execution for ENS projects on network deployment.
• Provide hands-on design, deployment, migration, code reviews, and troubleshooting on large scale programs.
• Contribute to six-month to multi-year roadmaps supporting business growth and transformation.
• Apply engineering standards for reliability, scalability, and performance in deliverables.
• Collaborate across Network Engineering, Data Center, Network Investments, and Planning teams.
• Deploy, migrate and support global production network including edge, backbone, and data center infrastructure.
• Mentor and onboard new team members; build internal community.
• Travel 10% to 30%.
