Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, DOE, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Databricks, PowerBI, Minitab, JMP, Microsoft Excel, or SAS.
• Proven ability to lead engineering projects across multiple stages, from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-stage engineering projects across optical fiber manufacturing, spanning cost reduction, performance improvement, and engineered safety initiatives.
• Serve as the technical bridge between technology development and plant manufacturing organizations, ensuring smooth deployment of new processes, products, and platforms.
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies — including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Kepner-Tregoe (KT) — to resolve process and equipment issues.
• Support cross-location governance efforts and facilitate shared learnings across global manufacturing sites.
• Provide engineering guidance to global manufacturing operations and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
