Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in Chemical, Materials, Ceramics or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years in process or mechanical engineering with proven outcomes.
Strong foundation in physical phenomena and manufacturing principles.
Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and drive root-cause resolution.
Experience translating findings into engineering requirements and equipment designs.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (JMP, Python, Power BI).
Comfortable working hands-on with manufacturing equipment in production environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and industrialize improvements to optical fiber manufacturing platforms (equipment and process).
Apply scientific methods, root cause analysis, and structured experimentation to resolve process limitations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield, throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
Troubleshoot glassmaking platforms, perform validation testing, and develop data-driven recommendations.
Document findings and communicate updates and recommendations to team and leadership.
