Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Senior Operations Management Trainee to join an accelerated leadership program across BioLife centers nationwide. You’ll travel extensively, gain hands-on management experience, and prepare for a Plasma Center Operations Manager role, with relocation to a BioLife location after program completion.

You will be supported by leaders, mentored in operations, and exposed to high-volume plasma collection facilities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience leading medium to large teams (20+ direct reports).
• Up to 90-100% travel during the Trainee Program.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Willingness to travel and work at various BioLife locations across the country.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Have a valid driver’s license for the entire duration of the program.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.

Responsibilities

• Lead the expedited training program and mentorship for trainees.
• Manage and develop a diverse team, conduct performance reviews, and participate in staffing plans.
• Progress toward Plasma Center Operations Manager and explore opportunities to open new centers.
• Provide operational support, problem-solve, and communicate with senior management.
• Retain donors by delivering exceptional donor experiences and assist with production as needed.
