Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Kansas City seeks a Sr. Operations Manager to lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean process improvements, and align budget, people development, and objectives across the Fulfillment Center.

You will balance operational excellence with leadership development, champion safety and quality, and partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure resources for initiatives while delivering results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of quality improvement and Lean initiatives to meet business objectives.
• Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operations including safety, quality and customer experience.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
