Job summary

Local Eclectic in Streeterville, Chicago, is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations to connect our fulfillment center and flagship store. This hands-on, in-office role oversees fulfillment, receiving, returns, and inventory accuracy with a part-time and full-time team.

You will own daily operations, optimize processes, manage KPIs, and build systems to track performance. 5+ years in multi-site retail/ecommerce and Shopify experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing operations, fulfillment, or inventory in retail or ecommerce.
• Track record managing people in a fast-paced environment, ideally part-time or hourly teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and focus on inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily order fulfillment workflow, ensuring accuracy and on-time shipping.
• Coordinate between fulfillment and flagship store; resolve inventory discrepancies and transfers.
• Own inventory accuracy across fulfillment and store locations; supervise monthly stock takes.
• Oversee receiving of new inventory and vendor shipments; ensure accurate data in system.
• Manage returns end-to-end for ecommerce and in-store channels; restore stock quickly.
• Directly manage a part-time operations team; build schedules and maintain momentum.
• Maintain and tighten SOPs for fulfillment, receiving, and inventory; minimize bottlenecks.
• Own end-to-end operational systems as the system of record for inventory, fulfillment, and receiving.
• Monitor shipping rates with carriers to balance cost and speed.
• Create KPIs and reporting structures for leadership visibility into operations.
• Identify operational problems and implement strategic solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized fulfillment environment; adjust staffing as needed.
