Nscale, the GPU cloud for AI, seeks a Senior Operational Engineer to lead cross-service improvements, raising reliability, security, and cost-awareness across engineering services. This hands-on role designs shared operational capabilities and partners with service teams to tackle systemic risks.

You will own readiness checks, runbooks, incident response, automation, and reporting across Grafana, PagerDuty, Jira, Backstage, and cloud platforms, mentor engineers, and translate incident learnings

Qualifications

6–10 years of experience in operations engineering, SRE, or cloud infrastructure.
Experience designing shared capabilities for monitoring, alerting, runbooks, and reporting.
Hands-on experience building integrations across Grafana, PagerDuty, Jira, Backstage, and public cloud.
Ability to lead cross-service work and mentor teams.

Responsabilités

Take ownership of design and delivery of shared operational capabilities.
Establish standards for ownership, on-call, alerts, dashboards, and recovery.
Partner with service teams to resolve recurring issues.
Design and improve integrations across Grafana, PagerDuty, Jira, Backstage, and cloud.
Lead incident response as incident commander and drive improvements.
Build observable, auditable automations to speed execution.
Automate operational reporting on SLA, health, cost, patching.
Mentor engineers and raise technical standards.
Contribute to continuity testing and failure-recovery experiments.
