Job summary

Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited in Greenfield, Indiana, seeks an experienced Operations Director to lead four food-grade warehouse facilities on the east side of Indianapolis. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and operational excellence across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, budget, and data-driven decision-making skills, with a track record of improving labor productivity and inventory accuracy in a 3PL or manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• At least five years of progressive warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations experience.
• At least three years of management experience with supervisors and hourly staff.
• Experience across multiple facilities or accounts.
• Experience in 3PL, food-grade, or regulated warehousing.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, sanitation programs, and audit requirements.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and KPIs.
• Demonstrated budgeting, productivity improvement, and continuous-improvement leadership.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and warehouse technology.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel among four east-side Indianapolis facilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations across four warehouse locations, including receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and value-added services.
• Establish consistent operating procedures, performance expectations, and accountability across all sites.
• Conduct regular site visits, operational reviews, safety observations, and leadership meetings.
• Balance labor, equipment, space, and workload across facilities to meet customer requirements.
• Develop site managers, supervisors, and team leads through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Support new customer implementations, operational transitions, and business growth.
• Maintain clean, audit-ready facilities with food-grade standards and compliance with FDA/OSHA/FSMA.
• Lead or support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits; manage corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs: safety, accuracy, inventory, on-time shipping, labor, and costs.
• Provide accurate forecasts, reports, and performance updates to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with HR on recruiting, onboarding, retention, attendance, and training.
