You will champion operational excellence, safety, inventory integrity, and continuous improvement while balancing labor, capacity, and client expectations.

Qualifications

Director of 3PL Operations – Distribution Campus

Location: Greenfield, IN

Compensation: $150,000 Base Salary + 25% Target Bonus ($187,500 Total Target Compensation)

The Opportunity

EDGE Industrial Staffing is partnering with an established national logistics organization to identify an experienced Director of 3PL Operations for a large-scale distribution campus in Greenfield, Indiana.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished warehouse and distribution executive who thrives in complex, multi-client environments and has a proven track record of leading operations, developing management teams, and delivering strong financial and service performance.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple distribution facilities, with responsibility for operational execution, financial performance, customer satisfaction, safety, inventory integrity, and continuous improvement.

We're looking for an experienced 3PL operator who understands the unique challenges of managing multiple customer accounts, balancing labor and capacity requirements, and driving consistent performance across a large distribution network.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple warehouse and distribution facilities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop site leaders and operational management teams.
• Own campus-level P&L performance, budgeting, labor costs, productivity, and financial objectives.
• Oversee multi-client operations, ensuring customer expectations and service commitments are consistently achieved.
• Establish performance metrics and accountability across safety, quality, inventory, service, and operational efficiency.
• Optimize staffing, labor utilization, warehouse capacity, equipment, and operational resources.
• Partner with customer-facing teams to support client retention, business growth, and operational improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish consistent operating procedures across facilities.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Maintenance, Finance, Safety, and other departments to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehousing, distribution, or fulfillment operations.
• Direct leadership experience within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
• At least 5 years of experience leading managers, including multi-site operational responsibility.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale warehouse or distribution operations.
• Direct P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and cost control.
• Experience managing relationships with external customers in a multi-client logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory controls, and operational performance metrics.
• Proven ability to develop leadership teams and drive operational improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in temperature-controlled or food-grade warehousing and distribution.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and GFSI-certified environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Total Target Compensation: $187,500
