Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator in Ophthalmology to coordinate graduate and undergraduate medical education programs. You will align activities with program directors, maintain policy compliance with GME/ACGME, and manage communications, scheduling, and reporting across the department.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of program management experience and familiarity with New Innovations, GME Tracking, Kronos, and ACGME Milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in program or project management, preferably in supporting an accredited education program.
• Experience with accreditation processes and familiarity with GME requirements and milestones is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support graduate and undergraduate functions with program directors to ensure compliance with GME and ACGME policies.
• Serve as an administrative partner responsible for operations of residency/fellowship training programs; manage timelines, reporting, databases, and communications.
• Act as liaison with Office of Graduate Medical Education, SOM Curriculum Office, and ACGME; collaborate with learners, faculty, staff and external contacts.
• Possess strong organization to recruit trainees, evaluate trainees, analyze workflows, prioritize tasks, and manage projects to meet deadlines.
• Participate in committees within the institution to improve aspects of Graduate Medical Education; may supervise support staff and provide performance input to Program Directors.
