Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Sr. OPEX / Continuous Improvement Engineer for an onsite role in Greenwood, SC. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, support MES and Industry 4.0 projects, and drive labor productivity through targeted events and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or continuous improvement engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• NO relocation is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Greenwood, SC area (50 miles) will be considered.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration work authorization for this position (no CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/I-485 etc).

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, tooling and fixturing design and applications.
• Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and its procedures and processes through improved layout and material handling procedures.
• Train factory operators in the use of equipment, tooling and procedures.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility.
• Lead events such as Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to achieve factory cost-out targets.
• Conduct line capacity analysis and lead labor productivity improvement initiatives.
• Specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment for manufacturing use.
• Write capital appropriations (CAR) for new equipment with the SCM team and manage related documentation.
• Support documentation such as process flow diagrams, PFMEA’s, and Control Plans.
• Support digitization with MES implementation, data presentation, Industry 4.0, and automation initiatives.
• Provide cross-functional support to other plant processes as directed.
• Assist IGX product line with gas handling, camera programming, and fan circuit programming.
