Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in Greenwood, SC is seeking an OPEX Engineer to provide continuous improvement support to manufacturing operations and plant maintenance. The role includes executing complex projects within the Operational Excellence group and developing engineering documentation for manufacturing needs.

You will coordinate technical guidance to production personnel and lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, with responsibility for line improvements, MES implementation, and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or work visa requirements for this position.
• Relocation benefits are not offered; Greenwood, SC area residency within 50 miles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and fixturing design.
• Develop improvements to manufacturing procedures through improved layout and material handling.
• Train factory operators in equipment use and procedures.
• Plan and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility.
• Lead events to achieve factory cost-out targets in your area.
• Determine optimal methods for parts and assemblies for new products or orders.
• Conduct line capacity analysis and productivity initiatives.
• Specify, design, quote, install, and maintain equipment for manufacturing.
• Support MES and Industry 4.0 initiatives and automation.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro Launch with Process Maps, Standard Work and Control Plans.
• Provide cross-functional support as directed.
