ABB is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor in Ohio to lead a team of service engineers and technicians, coordinating field service, repair, and related projects. The role emphasizes timely, high-quality service delivery with cost control and alignment to customer requirements.

The candidate should have a strong manufacturing or industrial background with 8+ years (or equivalent) and be able to work from Westerville, OH, with up to 10% travel, including international assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience required; OR Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience required; OR HS Diploma with 12+ years of experience required.
• Practical experience in manufacturing, repair, and customer service within an industrial environment.
• Experience with Paper, Chemical, Power, or Aerospace industries.
• Must have great attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills and methods.
• Need a great collaborator that is self-directed but able to work within a team environment.
• Business-oriented and highly organized.
• Must be able to work from Westerville, OH (Columbus area) without need for company relocation.
• Up to 10% travel, including international

Responsibilities

• Executes comprehensive testing and validation protocols on workshop products, systems, and components with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Acts with sense of urgency and care, balancing technical excellence with business delivery timelines.
• Monitors and optimizes test schedules, resource allocation, and workload distribution to meet critical delivery targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborates with workshop engineers to identify testing bottlenecks and drives process improvements that reduce cycle time and cost.
• Interprets technical specifications, test procedures, and quality documentation to ensure testing accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
• Ensures all documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in full compliance with internal systems and external customer requirements.
• Manages test equipment inventory, calibration, and maintenance to ensure optimal tool availability and operational cost control.
• Identifies quality issues, root causes, and solutions proactively, communicating recommendations to drive continuous service productivity improvements.
