Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Sr. Operations Manager to support our Manufacturing team in Chambersburg, PA. As a Sr. Operations Manager, you will lead salaried and hourly employees in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing facility. You will manage production & sorting throughout the facility, assist with hiring, monitor safety, security, maintenance, and repairs, and assist with other duties as directed by the Director of Operations.

Schedule:
  • M-F 1st shift, with flexibility needed for business demands
What You'll Need:
  • College degree in Engineering, Operations, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of direct management experience, including managing a salaried workforce in a manufacturing or production environment; experience in the printing industry is a plus
  • 4 years of progressive manufacturing production experience with a successful track record
Skills:
  • A strong problem-solving mindset focused on driving efficiency and operational improvements
  • Proven success in mentoring, coaching, and developing teams, with an emphasis on employee growth and succession planning
  • Experience leading projects involving new processes, equipment, or procedural changes, including team coordination and progress tracking
What You’ll Do:
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of high-speed digital printers, laminators, binders, and trimmers within the Production department to perform all job duties within the operational workflow
  • Oversee KPIs, goals, and objectives for the management team
  • Build a passionate manufacturing team with a positive, inclusive, results-oriented culture
  • Use Lean, Six Sigma, and Performance Improvement tools to enhance productivity
  • Set clear goals and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance, provide feedback, and hold leaders accountable
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and meet or exceed business objectives; work on strategic projects with broad impact
  • Leverage input from Operations and Area Managers to identify challenges and solutions
  • Plan strategically for 3, 6, and 12 months, including labor, rate forecasting, and peak season planning
  • Collaborate with support staff (HR, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, IT) to secure support for projects and initiatives
  • Supervise the operation area to ensure timely and accurate movement of materials; monitor HR policies, attendance, and associate performance; oversee hiring, training, and disciplinary actions
