Job Summary

Oversees and manages high-profile, complex operational projects within the business unit from development through execution, ensuring critical project milestones are met to support the operating needs and strategic goals of the Out of Network department. Coordinates with cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, ITPMA, and Account Management, managing projects end-to-end, monitoring performance, and reporting outcomes. Manages multiple projects aiming for synergy across initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Serve as a senior Operations Project Manager. Develop detailed project plans for large, cross-functional projects, outlining all tasks and dependencies. Ensure scope, requirements, and system functionalities support efficient processes.
  2. Understand department processes to ensure project success. Collaborate with business units to incorporate their requirements into project plans.
  3. Track progress and communicate proactively about changes affecting scope, resources, timelines, or costs. Ensure teams are prepared and stakeholders are informed.
  4. Maintain accurate documentation of project status, including plans, timelines, workflows, and decisions. Take notes and draft summaries for teams.
  5. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, escalate roadblocks, and prioritize tasks. Provide regular status updates and analysis.
  6. Act as the primary contact for cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, documentation, and timely execution of deliverables.
  7. Monitor project work to ensure deadlines are met.
  8. Balance business needs with technical considerations to expedite project progress.
  9. Assist leadership in driving results and operational excellence.
  10. Partner with leadership to improve project management processes and recommend efficiencies.
  11. Analyze current processes for improvements, reduce customer friction, and own continuous improvement initiatives.
  12. Apply critical thinking for project execution considering impacts across the business.
  13. Represent Operations in enterprise initiatives.
  14. Delegate tasks to team members best suited for their completion.
  15. Foster collaboration and communication across departments.
  16. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  17. Demonstrate commitment to the company's core values.
Scope and Requirements

Work independently to identify issues, recommend actions, and evaluate results on large, complex projects. Use extensive experience and broad knowledge. May mentor less experienced team members.

Compensation

The salary range is $85K-$110K, based on experience, education, and location. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, and bonus opportunities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in project management, preferably in a fast-paced environment. Graduate degree a plus.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge and understanding of healthcare claim workflows preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Project & Project Server.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and lead teams effectively.
  • Ability to develop relationships at all management levels.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment with extended monitor time.
