Job summary

thyssenkrupp Elevator is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for New Installation in Los Angeles, CA. You will lead installation projects, supervise superintendents, and ensure profitability while upholding safety standards and client satisfaction.

You will coordinate bids, change orders, and subcontractor work, leveraging project management tools and strong industry knowledge to drive on-time, within-budget completions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or extensive management experience) or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.
• Thorough knowledge of elevator industry and management methods.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions and manage variables.

Responsibilities

• Supervises superintendents and employees, including hiring and performance management.
• Administers safety program and conducts safety audits weekly.
• Plans, directs, and prioritizes elevator installations and manpower needs.
• Reviews and signs off on bids, change orders, and purchase orders.
• Maintains knowledge of elevator codes and SOPs; coordinates with departments.
• Resolves customer complaints and coordinates subcontracting portions of installations.
• Visits sites weekly to monitor safety and progress.
