Midwest Transit Equipment, Inc. in Whitestown, IN seeks a Full Time Operations Manager to lead all aspects of the location, from staffing to delivery to customer concerns.

You will oversee daily operations, coordinate with sales, parts, and service, and represent the company with customers and vendors. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in a dealership environment, with strong leadership and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of dealership experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop department staff members.
• Team player with a strong commitment to the customer.
• Self-motivated and adaptable.
• Superior problem solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support all company sales initiatives; parts, service, and bus sales.
• Travel to the Kansas City location a minimum of twice a month.
• Review vehicle orders for new and used buses.
• Manage delivery schedule and communicate dates/delays to customers.
• Monitor service orders and ensure scheduling accuracy to close on time.
• Review vehicle sales orders and RO’s; alert staff of issues needing attention.
• Maintain all aspects of the property, inside and outside.
• Attend conferences and trade shows; build relationships with customers and vendors.
