Job summary

RBC Capital Markets, LLC is seeking a manager to lead the Investment Advisory Operations Account Administration and Billing team in Minneapolis. You will guide change, manage risk, hire and develop staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving process improvements.

You will oversee complex workflows, provide coaching, and respond to escalations, with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and operational excellence in a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent AND 5+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience.
• 3+ years prior securities, banking, technology and/or job specific related industry experience
• Securities license 7 or 99 (or able to obtain license within 120 days)
• 2+ years demonstrated managerial experience leading and managing a team
• Previous billing and/or advisory experience expertise
• Strong accountability mindset which takes responsibility for all work activities and personal actions.
• Ability to coach employees through challenges and develop opportunities

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and train new team members
• Supervise and direct time sensitive, complex and/or highly specialized daily workflows
• Provide training, coaching, recognition, and development for the team
• Address escalated questions independently; seek assistance as appropriate
• Conduct operations process oversight to ensure risks are mitigated and regulatory requirements are met
• Support department volume metrics, staffing models, and budgets
• Reduce risk and increase efficiencies through process/system changes
• Adapt to and support changes impacting daily work
• Investigate escalated issues to identify root causes and implement solutions
• Develop and maintain department procedures and Written Supervisory Procedures
