Job summary

RBC in Minneapolis is seeking a Manager of Margin Lending Operations to oversee broker-dealer extension of credit and lead the Margin team with a focus on risk management and operational oversight.

You will deliver accurate account analyses, manage risk, maintain client service standards, and drive process improvements while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) OR High school diploma and 5+ years of related experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Series 99/Series 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing teams.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Deep knowledge of margin operations, regulatory requirements, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Margin operations team through hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
• Monitor reports and accounts to identify margin issues and risks for clients and RBC/Clearing & Custody firms.
• Ensure team proficiency in margin and options strategies and complex calculations.
• Manage escalation processes and communicate with senior management.
• Drive operational excellence and timely communication of actions and account status.
