CSI Sands (N.E.) operates state-of-the-art processing facilities to produce industrial silica sand products in Brevort, MI; Buffalo, NY; and Cleveland, OH.

We are currently searching for a Senior Operations Manager to oversee our team in Buffalo, NY, and Cleveland, OH. The position reports to the General Manager for CSI Sands (N.E.). The Senior Operations Manager will lead a team of operations, finance, and administration employees to achieve production and financial objectives and will be a key part of a fast-paced production environment.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality Management programs are properly applied, documented, and followed.
2. Collaborating with the General Manager to develop and implement business plans for operations, maintenance, finance, logistics, and support functions.
3. Providing managerial oversight and leadership at Buffalo to deliver business objectives.
4. Guiding and supporting the operations team to optimize the performance of the dry plant, trucking, and rail car loading supply chain.
5. Working with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, financial management, and accounting tasks.
6. Focusing on Asset Management, including procurement, maintenance planning, and systems.
7. Delivering regular reports and analysis on operational performance and improvements.
8. Identifying, prioritizing, and resourcing initiatives to enhance business performance.
9. Managing site team performance through KPIs, targets, and goal setting.
10. Engaging proactively with stakeholders, including regulators, through meetings, updates, and feedback to build relationships and address concerns.
11. Encouraging best practices, process improvements, and operational innovations.

Skills and Requirements:

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial, mining, processing, or related industries. Expertise in industrial sand operations is highly desirable.
2. Experience with supply chain and inventory management to optimize performance is highly regarded.
3. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to organize, plan daily tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
6. Proactive, with a hands-on leadership style and collaborative approach.
