Job summary

Nordstrom Inc is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM) to lead a network of warehouse operations. This senior role requires 6+ years of managerial warehouse experience and the ability to develop leaders, drive efficiency, and manage day-to-day processes, policies, and cost control.

You will oversee about 7 managers and their teams, manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and partner with on-site and virtual teams to test and implement solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of warehouse experience in a managerial role.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Proven ability to develop leaders and leadership competencies.
• Deep knowledge of warehousing KPIs.
• Experience managing projects and initiatives within a building.

Responsibilities

• Support strategy and drive safety, quality and performance while driving efficiency and scale.
• Lead, develop, and grow the performance of a team of about 7 managers across multiple shifts and departments.
• Recruit, select, onboard, and train the right leaders.
• Demonstrate good judgement when making decisions and own the impact of decisions made.
• Promote equity across the network and within the organization.
• Meet warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
• Drive KPI metrics as well as 4DX and facility performance scorecards.
• Partner with on-site and virtual operational support teams and partners to test, pilot, implement solutions.
