Job summary

ACET, Incorporated is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the F/A-18 variant program at NAS Norfolk, VA. The role serves as the principal administrator for the contracted effort and acts as the primary liaison with Government program authorities.

Responsibilities include directing performance, managing resources and budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with FAR and DoD requirements to support mission-critical naval aviation platforms.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
• MA or MS degree from an accredited institution
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in program management/defense operations/contract administration
• Deep understanding of NAVAIR program office operations, defense acquisition pathways, and FAR compliance
• Exceptional executive leadership and communication skills to brief high-level military and civilian stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Act as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort, ensuring all deliverables meet standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with Government program authorities on complex technical and program issues.
• Direct and monitor contractor execution of performance metrics, SOW requirements, and milestones.
• Manage staffing, budgeting, and asset deployment to optimize resources.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and establish workflows to maintain schedule and technical integrity
