Job summary

Mersen is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team in a Virginia facility. You will oversee production, HSE, quality, CI, engineering, and supply chain while ensuring safe, efficient operations and adherence to budgets.

You will implement Continuous Improvement programs, drive Lean manufacturing practices, and focus on training, KPI performance, and on-time delivery to meet strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent extensive experience.
• 6-10 years professional experience in production/manufacturing/planning.
• Experience with IT tools and applications.
• Strong project management skills.
• Background in health, safety & environment management.
• Cost management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages a multidisciplinary team (production, HSE, quality, CI, engineering, supply chain, maintenance, purchasing).
• Defines equipment and personnel needs to operate production safely and efficiently within budget.
• Controls daily plant operations to maximize efficiency, monitoring KPIs.
• Deploys Continuous Improvement programs and feeds transformation projects.
• Promotes training and development; ensures on‑time delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Leads lean initiatives and drives cost reductions and waste reduction.
