Collins Aerospace, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead a cross-functional IPT and supervise Supervisors to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

The role emphasizes workforce development, continuous improvement, and strategic planning to achieve business objectives. The position requires a university degree (or advanced degree) with extensive manufacturing leadership experience and familiarity with SAP and lean

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience
• Experience in manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, or similar industrial environment
• Manufacturing leadership experience (including direct reports)
• Experience with manufacturing systems, such as SAP or equivalent
• Experience with Lean, CORE, Six Sigma, and structured problem‑solving methodologies

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance to regulations, laws, and management system requirements.
• Proactively reduce EH&S risks and promote safe behaviors.
• Manage capacity, demand, and resource plans for on-time delivery.
• Support SIOP process for capacity and headcount planning.
• Drive employee engagement and strategic workforce planning.
• Champion Continuous Improvement using CORE and lean initiatives.
• Integrate tactical and strategic supply chain actions to manage risk.
• Support operating budgets, capital plans, and cost savings targets.
