Job summary

Vertiv in Franklin Furnace, OH is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager to lead all production operations, drive safety and quality, and ensure on-time delivery while coordinating with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Maintenance.

You will develop managers, coaches, and team leads, implement lean practices, establish standard work, monitor KPIs, and remove bottlenecks to sustain high-performance manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of managerial experience.
• ,
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or related industrial environment.
• Demonstrated success implementing lean practices in high-mix, low-volume environments
• Strong analytical, communication, and team-building abilities
• Knowledge of Lean tools (Kanban, SMED, 5S, Kaizen, A3)
• Ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience working with MRP/PLM systems and manufacturing dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely manufacture of products while meeting plant attainment, schedule adherence and customer expectations.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development to production managers, supervisors, team leads, and manufacturing employees.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the primary operational leader for the facility, ensuring production resources, staffing, equipment, and materials are effectively aligned to meet daily and long-term production goals.
• Drive production performance through execution of manufacturing priorities.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning to resolve production issues, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve manufacturing flow.
• Improve standard work, implement visual management, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and sustainable process improvements.
• Monitor and drive KPIs like schedule attainment, schedule adherence and on-time delivery.
• Establish clear expectations, communicate business objectives, and maintain a visible leadership presence on the production floor.
