Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to oversee development and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes and systems. The role focuses on continuous improvement, material management, productivity, cost reduction, quality, and safety in manufacturing operations.

It is an onsite role in Franklin Furnace, OH, requiring collaboration across departments and strong leadership to manage resources and projects to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
• 5-10+ years in an industrial engineering role.
• 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is desired.
• Knowledge of SQL or other computer languages to aid data mining.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements and achieving efficiency gains.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering department, including setting goals, prioritizing projects, resolving issues, and communicating performance expectations and results.
• Manage MES data for production routes, bottlenecks, and throughput; optimize constraints and OEE.
• Implement PFEP (Plan for Every Part).
• Develop capacity models to forecast equipment and labor needs based on demand and track progress.
• Support cleanroom layout planning for efficient logistics and workflow.
• Establish and report key operational metrics to identify bottlenecks.
• Monitor and optimize production scheduling and dispatching algorithms.
• Stay current with industrial engineering practices and assess applicability.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and drive transformation.
• Perform additional duties to support organizational goals.
